Sadie’s Social Complex isn’t just an event space — it’s a living tribute to the woman who inspired it all.

Founded by Jamie, Sadie’s was born from the love, support, and lifelong celebrations shared between three generations of strong women: Jamie, her mother, and her late great-grandmother Sadie. Known for her love of elegant parties and joyful gatherings, Sadie was the heart of the family — and the muse behind this one-of-a-kind venue.

💐 Inspired by Sadie

Sadie loved a good celebration. She believed in the power of family, fun, and dressing up for every occasion. Throughout Jamie’s life, Sadie was a constant source of encouragement, offering her full creative freedom when it came to planning birthday parties and family events. Her warmth and trust helped Jamie develop her passion for event planning — long before she ever called it a career.

One photo in particular — “borrowed” by Jamie for one of Sadie’s birthday parties — captured a room full of beautifully dressed guests, smiling and shining. That photo, once lost and now symbolic, became the creative heartbeat for what Sadie’s Social Complex would one day represent: a space filled with joy, unity, style, and purpose.

👵🏾 A Grandmother’s Gift

Sadie lived to the age of 91 and passed away just a year before the venue officially opened its doors. In her final years, Jamie and her mother lovingly cared for her — a period that brought even deeper closeness, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Jamie often reflects on how Sadie seemed to gently encourage her to “move on” — to take what she had learned and create something lasting, something powerful, something that honored their bond.

That something became Sadie’s Social Complex.

Even after her passing, Sadie’s generosity made an impact — she personally purchased 90% of the iconic rose wall that now serves as one of the venue’s most popular backdrops.
